When I saw the Rotten Tomatoes score for this movie (40%) my heart sank. I was looking forward to this tremendously. Then the stories came out about the sexist undertones. I was even less excited. Then I saw it. I love this movie. It is so much fun. There are multiple moments where the realization that you are watching all these all star heroes on screen together washes over you. The villain is atrocious and you can tell it was heavily edited, but it is so damn fun! Superman smiles! I expected Jason Momoa's Aquaman to be my favorite, but it ended up being Cyborg. His dry sense of humor and his tragic take on his powers are super engaging. There are some sexist jokes and some camera placement that focuses on Gal Gadot's butt, but those moments are more fleeting than I expected. I want to see this franchise thrive and I want what the end credits teased.
